Eclipse 6 is a six person group from Utah who create all their music a cappella. No instruments are used but the human voice, which is quite remarkable. Here are three samples of their work, two traditional hymns and a modern country tune that should be one as well.

A note from Eclipse 6 about ‘Be Still My Soul’

In a world full of noise and turmoil, we have found that we all need a place of refuge where we can deter ourselves from the chaos of the world. Whether that is a church, temple, cathedral, synagogue, the mountains, beach, or your home, we hope that you all have a chance to get there. Even if only for a minute, unplug from this busy and loud world to hear the heavenly words, “Be still and know that I am God.” -Psalms 46:10 We hope you enjoy our a cappella version of Be Still My Soul.

Song Produced by: Eclipse 6 and Patrick Rose Arrangement: Michael R. Hicks

A note from Eclipse 6 about ‘Humble and Kind’

Our first single shot music video! We’d been wanting to do a song from the country music genre for a while but wanted to find the right song. Paul (who lives in Nashville) suggested/insisted we do Humble & Kind and we’re glad he did because it’s quickly become one of our favorites. In a world where violence, abuse, negativity, and selfishness seem to be increasing, this song delivers a message/reminder that is sorely needed. Enjoy! --Love Eclipse 6

A note from Eclipse 6 about ‘How Great Thou Art’

We love the emotion embodied by the words of this hymn. We can’t help but feel deep reverence, veneration, gratitude, and love for the creation and the Creator. With respect and awe, we recognize the power of God and acknowledge that all things created bear record of Him. “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” (Ps. 24:1). We hope you enjoy our arrangement and video of the world beloved hymn, “How Great Thou Art!” —Love Eclipse 6
