Shepherd's Cupboard, Shelburne Food Bank
The Shepherd’s Cupboard offers a 3 - 5 day emergency supply of food to those living in the Shelburne area. They are open twice a week, and though COV-ID 19 has changed the manner in which they run, they continue to offer their services at the usual time and place.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME ON MY FIRST VISIT?
As a first time client please bring with you proof of address, photo ID for your self and anyone in your home you are going to claim as part of your household. You will also need proof of any income and expenditures (hard copies or statements on your phone are acceptable) Volunteers will be wearing blue Food Bank t-shirts. You will be interviewed by a volunteer and then if you qualify you will be given a 3-5 day emergency supply of food.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?
We are located at the Mel Lloyd Centre 167 Centre St. Entrance A - Please wait outside the doors to be met by a volunteer in a blue food bank t-shirt. Clients are served on a first come first serve basis.
We are open Wed. 11:30 - 12:30 pm and Thurs. 6:30-7:30 pm.
COVID-19 UPDATE
Due to COVID-19 we are now preparing a Hamper style food box. We ask you wait outside Entrance A - six feet apart from other individuals. An interviewer will still record your options at a 6ft distance and add this to your order.
You will then wait in your vehicle or off to the side if walking and a volunteer will bring your completed hamper to you.
HOW CAN I MAKE A DONATION?
You can make a cheque out to Shepherd's Cupboard Food Bank or a cash donation at Pace Credit Union night deposit box. (label envelope shelburne food bank)

Cheques may also be mailed to our address. For tax receipt info please go to the donate page on our website.
Food Donations can be put in the box at the front of Foodland or the big yellow cart by the exit doors at No Frills. For larger donations please contact us for a drop off time.
